People paste source code, API keys, customer data and confidential documents into ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini and Copilot to get work done. Those tools sit outside the controls most companies built for email and file sharing, so what goes into them is hard to see. We built Tracehold to close that gap at the point of sending. The browser extension checks the prompt and file uploads before they go out. Endpoint agents for Windows and Linux reach beyond the browser. Everything lands in one console, with a record of what was found, where it was going and what happened.

Detection close to the data

The extension’s detection engine runs in the browser and checks the prompt and attached files before they are sent. The console receives event metadata (type of data, severity, destination, action) plus a masked sample of the value. Prompt text only reaches Tracehold if your organisation turns on an optional feature, all off by default: the LLM classifier (Governance plan, beta; text in transit, not stored), keeping the content of findings, or the file fallbacks.
